María-Antonia García-Solanas advises private clients, investors, institutional clients, national and multinational companies on cross-border tax planning, as well as business law/corporate law issues such as shareholder agreements, corporate restructuring, joint-ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
María-Antonia has developed her professional career over more than 20 years, mainly in multidisciplinary teams at Deloitte and PwC. Her areas of expertise also include private equity, venture capital, as well as cross-border transactions and investments.
María-Antonia also has experience as General Counsel, and in coordinating and managing the design and implementation of Compliance Programs and governance policies.
María-Antonia is a Member of the Barcelona Bar Association. She has an LLB and a degree in English Philology from the University of Barcelona. María-Antonia also has a Masters degree in Taxation at Abat Oliba-Fundación San Pablo.
María-Antonia teaches a master’s degree in Business Taxation at the University of Barcelona and a degree in Business Logistics at the University of Girona. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of ABE-Association for the Pursuit of Excellence. María-Antonia gives talks, speeches and in-house training in various forums. She speaks Spanish, English and Catalan.
